Intellectual property and material you send us
What belongs to the studio
The content of this site belongs to THE LOOK COMPANY or is used with permission. That includes the text, the photographs, the renders, the surface designs and patterns shown, the Studio Saint-Pierre name and logotype, and the arrangement of the site itself.
You may read the site, print pages for your own reference, and share links to it. You may not copy the site's content into your own materials, reproduce a surface design shown here, or use the studio's name or images to present work as ours or ours as yours, without written permission.
Specification material we send you, including renders, samples, drawings and proposals, is provided so that you can specify the work with us. It stays the studio's property, it is not transferred with it, and it is not to be issued to another maker for pricing or production.
What you send us
This site has no upload function. Nothing you put into the form on the contact page is a file. If you send us drawings, images, artwork, scans, samples or briefs, they reach us by email or by hand, not through this site.
When you send us material, you keep every right in it. Nothing you send transfers to the studio.
What you give us, by sending it, is permission to use that material for one purpose: to study, quote, develop and produce the work you are asking us about. That includes making the internal copies, test prints, samples and digital files that production requires. Nothing else.
What you confirm when you send it
By sending us material you confirm that you own it or have the right to have it reproduced, and that reproducing it at the scale and on the substrate you are asking for will not infringe anyone else's rights.
This matters for artwork in particular. A work being old, out of print, or freely available online does not make it free to reproduce. Copyright in France lasts seventy years after the author's death, and the author's moral rights, including the right to have the work respected and correctly attributed, are perpetual and survive it. Where a work is in copyright, or where the author is living, we need the rightsholder's authorisation before we produce anything, and we will ask you for it.
If a third party claims rights in material you gave us, you agree to answer that claim and to cover the studio for it.
Confidentiality
We treat project material you send us as confidential. We do not show it, publish it or name you as a client without your agreement. If you need that in a signed form before you send anything, ask us and we will sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Our images of completed work
We would like to photograph and publish work we produce. We ask before we do. Where a project is confidential, or where your client has not agreed, we do not publish it.
How long we keep what you send
Project material is kept for the duration of the project and for three years afterwards, so that we can reproduce or repair a surface we made. Ask us to delete it earlier and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
